The GPS-EMGN emits a plant-safe, soft green light ideal for use in safely illuminating the dark plant cycle when growing short-day crops. This light cannot be easily “seen” by plants, allowing for critical tasks to be performed in the grow rooms during the dark cycle without the light adversely affecting the growth stage of the plant.

In cultivation, the color of light plays a pivotal role throughout the plant’s life cycle. During the vegetative phase, blue light with a color temperature between 4000 and 5500K is essential. This spectrum is absorbed by the photoreceptor cryptochrome, which encourages a bushier growth pattern, reduced stem elongation, and enhanced shoot and lateral branch development.
